on Vaccination and Natural Immunity

Why I support Dr. Kelly Sutton's Petition to Reinstate her medical license

On January 7, 2022, the Medical Board of California has revoked Dr. Kelly Sutton's medical license for issuing eight vaccine exemptions because they were not based on CDC contraindications.  I am supporting Dr. Sutton’s petition to reconsider the revocation of her medical license.

I am aware that Dr. Sutton served a diverse community with many ethnic Eastern Europeans in her California’s medical practice.  I am familiar with a very different childhood vaccination approach in my country of birth where, at the very least, it was contraindicated to administer any vaccine during an ongoing illness.  This is rooted in medical reasoning that piling more inflammation on top of pre-existing inflammation is dangerous and may lead to irreversible harm.  This should be common sense in any medical community across the globe.  A riverbank can only hold so much water before it floods the area after a heavy rain.  We are flooding our children with inflammation and some do not recover from it.

Other countries have less extensive vaccine schedules than the U.S. yet better overall outcomes in children’s health.  If U.S. healthcare policy makers were aspiring to enshrine evidence-based approach aimed at better total health outcomes, they’d be interested in learning what those other countries do differently and adjusting our vaccine schedules and contraindications accordingly.  But the CDC has a different agenda, which they do not even hide.  By their own admission, they do not peer-review their published materials, instead they policy-review them.  In other words, the CDC adjusts ‘science’ to policy rather than policy to science. [1]

It should be self-evident to any reasonable healthcare provider or consumer that healthcare policies and regulations should be aimed at improving health outcomes rather than at increasing vaccination compliance for the sake of vaccination compliance.  The Medical Board of California has demonstrated that it is not protecting us, healthcare consumers, from rogue unethical doctors, but instead, protecting a corrupt CDC policy—by removing ethical doctors who stand in the way.

CDC policy has failed to preserve the health of American children as evidenced by rampant chronic disease in the pediatric population.  American children who remain completely unvaccinated are by far healthier than their vaccinated counterparts.  This may be a surprise to those in the medical profession who’ve been keeping their head in the sand, but it is not a surprise to us, parents.  No amount of medical party line ‘consensus’ (aka siding with policy over reality) will make this fact go away.

Physicians who have been issuing medical exemptions, upon parental request and consent, to preserve children’s health and ability to attend school when all other options have been taken away from parents, should not be required to conform to a woefully inadequate list of CDC contraindications.  The CDC doesn’t sweat from any harm that comes from its one-size-fits-all recommendations nor does it uphold the precautionary principle, the concept of personalized medicine, or the oath of “first, do no harm.”  It has lost its trustworthiness in the eyes of parents long time ago.

From where we stand as parents, the state of California has become the bedrock of medical tyranny, undue interference into the doctor-patient relationship, and legislative deceit.  I personally testified against SB 277 to the California Senate Health Committee back in 2015, yet the bill passed with assurances by its sponsors that, while stripping personal belief exemptions, it was intended to give doctors a legal basis to write medical exemptions that are broader than CDC contraindications.  Now, we’ve learned the hard way that those assurances were deceitful and merely a set-up to start persecuting doctors like Dr. Sutton and others who followed the law.

The involvement of the Medical Board of California in the betrayal of trust of healthcare consumers reflects badly on them.  They can start restoring our trust in the medical regulatory process by acknowledging their shortsightedness and abuse of power and reinstating Dr. Sutton’s medical license.

This includes review by the CDC Director or designate, top scientific directors at all CDC organizational levels, and an exacting review by MMWR editors. Articles submitted to MMWR from non-CDC authors undergo the same kind of review by subject-matter experts within CDC. By the time a report appears in MMWR, it reflects, or is consistent with, CDC policy.”
